Buying a home is exciting whether it's your first home or your fourth. Because there are so many things to take into consideration, the process can sometimes seem overwhelming. I am an experienced, knowledgeable REALTOR® and can help you ease the stress of purchasing you next home. With my expertise and years of successful experience, you'll be able to relax and enjoy the experience. I work in the field every day and have plenty of knowledge to share of the area, the schools, and the potential resale value of any local home listed on MLS.

For starters, consider the following tips:

There's more to it than just the house

Let me know your needs and wants, and if the neighborhood caters to what is important to you, including the home's resale value. If you have children, I can tell you what kind of schools serve a particular area, and if there are private schools available. I can also inform you about access to major roads, amenities, emergency services, shopping, etc.

Finding the neighborhood that’s right for you

You don't have to settle. I can help you narrow the search for a home in the location of your choice. There's plenty to choose from and I can get all the information you need promptly and securely.

Finding the right neighborhood can be a challenge so I suggest you begin by creating a checklist of the features that are important to you. Maybe you prefer an older, more established neighborhood. Or maybe you like living in a newer area. Whatever your preferences, write them down and prioritize them in order of importance. Not only will this help pinpoint the best area for you, it will also allow me to speed the process by searching specific communities to meet your preferences.

Most sellers want their property to sell quickly. But sometimes it is inconvenient to sell a home – especially one that you are still living in. As an experienced REALTOR®, I can help you 'see' your home through a potential buyer’s eyes and make recommendations for making it more attractive.

Depersonalize' your home as much as possible. The best way is to clear out your closets or reorganize them, pick up clutter and pare down what’s inside. Put away items and special collections usually displayed in cabinets and hutches.

Remove excess furniture. Keep the house clean every minute it’s on the market! This takes great effort, but you'll feel comfortable if the buyer wants to see it with short notice.

Check A/C and heating systems. A checkup from your regular service tech can reduce potential problems at inspection time.

Fix leaky faucets, toilets, and replace faulty lights.

First impressions count. Paint (or touch up) exterior. Repair screens and windows. Many buyers make their purchasing decision on appearance as soon as they drive up to the house.

Spruce up your landscaping. Have your yard mowed and edged regularly and remove or trim dead trees and shrubs. Plant colorful seasonal flowers. If you have a pool, make sure it is crystal clear. Remove inflatable toys, Kennel or find a way to keep pets secured during showings.
